Bank Hapoalim supports Kessler's Smart carbon plantations

עודכן: 21 בדצמ׳ 2021

We are honored to announce that Bank Hapoalim, Israel's largest Bank, took concrete actions to fight against global warming by planting trees and cleaning the planet, supporting Kessler's Smart Carbon Plantation project in Israel.

Our pride is that the most reputable and influential Bank in the region, Bank Hapoalim, believes in Kessler's smart carbon plantations and granted the Bank's sponsorship with an understanding of the Bank's ambition and measures in the transition of the State of Israel to a low-carbon economy and the Bank's activities to promote green projects.

The first scientific carbon pilot plantation in Israel and the middle east, planted in the Negev Desert, partnering with ARO and the Volcani Institute, is an essential milestone for Israel.

The energy trees in the plantation are overgrowing, challenging desertification and global warming by land reclamation and absorbing high amounts of co2. The advanced pioneer energy trees, resistant to extreme climatic conditions and poor soil quality, produce renewable energy feedstock and Non-GMO protein as a food source for the world's benefit.

The trees set up in unique agrotechnical methods perform the Israeli model of a profitable oasis in the deserts and the Israeli carbon farming program foundation.

Kessler's assignment and work conducted jointly with the Agricultural Research Organization of Israel, the leading specialist and world-class professors, ministries, and Bank Hapoalim, life returns to the desert.

Restoring agricultural value to deserts and low-value degraded areas is one of the objectives of our project that will rebuild agriculture in these areas. Alongside Carbon plantations and creating forest areas, Kessler provides renewable, low-carbon energy resources and solutions for the industry, enabling every company, organization, or entity to become 100% environmentally friendly and to be able to achieve climate neutrality in its activities.

Based on our work on the pilot plantation, Kessler is operating to establish a commercial Carbon plantation in Israel. Kessler aims to plant 6 million trees to rehabilitate an area of 10,000 hectares divided into several plots in the Negev and the Arava deserts and neutralize 180,000 tons of CO2 each year and higher offset volumes as the trees continue to grow.

Thank you all for making a better world for us and the next generations.
